It’s officially September 1st. It sounds so weird to me – that it’s September already, and that summer is almost over. However, it currently still is summer, right? I’ve been working on a summer playlist over the last couple of months, and I’m super excited to share them with you. Do read along if you’d like to listen to my summer playlist!
I know I haven’t posted in a while (again, sigh) and I tell myself every time that it’s going to be different from now on, that I’ll start writing more regularly and posting more blogposts, but truth is that I just don’t know. I do really want to write more blogposts and be more active over here, so I’m giving it another try. Thank you if you’ve been here from the very beginning, or if you’ve just found my blog and are reading this, I’m so grateful for every single reader, so thank you!
And now onto the real reason of this blogpost: the music I’ve been listening to this summer. I’ve been working on this playlist since summer started, and maybe I’m a little late with sharing it with you, since summer is almost over now, but I wanted to share it with you anyway.
As you might know, music is such an important part of my life. There isn’t a day that goes by where I haven’t listened to music. Music is so personal for me – sometimes when I’m in the mood, a particular song can really make me happy and make me want to dance or sing, or when I’m sad, some songs make me feel like I’m not alone. I’m always discovering new songs, but never forgetting the older ones as well, so you will find both new and old songs when listening to this playlist.
My taste in music has changed a lot over the last year. Instead of me listening to a particular band or musician, I really prefer to listen to lots of songs from all different artists, with a similar feel – and currently that’s summer. Light, happy music that reminds me of those late summer nights, dancing outside in the garden, eating lots of ice cream, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin… I know that summer is almost over, but with these songs, I feel like I’m back in the middle of my summer holidays.
Below you can find the playlist I made, with over 75 songs, varying from The Beatles to James Taylor to Mamma Mia. I’ve tried to add in lots of different songs I’m still adding more music, so you can add the list to your library and listen to it when you’re in the mood for some light summer music.
I’m so excited to hear what you think of my playlist! Do you see any of your favourite songs? Are there any songs I really need to add? Let me know. Happy listening!
