My favourite songs at the moment • a playlist

Music has always been really important to me. I love to listen to music when I’m taking photos, writing, sitting in the car or walking outside; not a day goes by when I haven’t listened to a song. The music I’m listening to changes a lot, but there are some songs that never tire and I’m always in the mood for. Starting this new chapter of my life and coming back to social media, I want to make sure to be a bit more personal with you, and since music is a big part of my life, this also means talking more about it here on my blog.

There are so many great artists and songs, so it’s really hard to choose favourites when I’ve got so many great songs I want to listen to. This is the first blogpost dedicated to music, so I will try and share some of the artists and their songs with you that I listen to most.

One artist I’m currently obsessing over is Maisie Peters. I first discovered her music a couple of months ago, when she first released Stay Young. The song made me feel so alive, I instantly wanted to hear more of her music. I really love all the songs she’s made so far – a couple of my other favourites are Details, Place We Were Made, Feels Like This and Birthday. If you haven’t listened to her music yet, I definitely suggest checking her out!

Another artist I’ve recently discovered is Sasha Sloan. All her songs are so good, but if I’d have to choose, Older is probably my favourite. It’s such a raw and beautiful song and when I’m feeling down, it always makes me feel like I’m not alone, and that it’s going to be okay. Another song that makes me feel like this is Carry You by Ruelle and Fleurie, I’ll Still Have Me by CYN and Voices in My Head by Ashley Tisdale, both songs are definitely worth a listen if you feel down.

The next two songs on my list of songs I’m currently listening to is Bird by Billie Marten and Call it Home by Jillian Edwards. I find both songs so soothing, they’re so calm and beautifully sung! Another artist I’m loving who has a magical voice is Gabrielle Aplin. I’m actually listening to My Mistake on repeat. I’ve first listened to her songs years ago and she’s come so far since then. My favourite songs of her are the acoustic/piano versions, though. They have something extra I can’t really put into words.

When I want to dance, Uncharted by Sara Bareilles is always a good choice. It’s such an uplifting song and instantly gives me energy whenever I listen to it. Last but not least, Under Our Feet by Frances also is a song I just can’t stop listening to. I first heard her song, Don’t Worry About Me, on tv when I was watching a tv series (I don’t remember which tv series I was watching) and I’m a fan of hers ever since!

Those were only 10 artists I just shared, but there are many many more artists I love, which is why I’ve made a little playlist with my all time favourite songs for you! I don’t have Spotify, but I do have Apple Music (which I love!), so here is the playlist:

I hope you’ll enjoy listening to them. I’m also super excited to hear your song recommendations, since I’m always looking for more music to listen to. What is your favourite song at the moment?

I’ll definitely be listening to your list! I’m in need of some songs and artists. I used to listen to music non-stop but in the past few years I haven’t really listened to much so I’m out of the loop on good songs.
