Ever since I started my Bookstagram back in 2015, my collection of bookmarks has magically grown. Whereas I used to have only one or two bookmarks, I now have over fifty! I just love to collect them – some bookmarks I got in bookish boxes, some I bought on Etsy, some I got as a gift. I have a couple of mugs on my bookshelves where I store them in! Overall I think they look really nice on my shelves, and I love to use them. As for my second blogpost, I thought it would be nice to show you a collection of my favourite bookmarks.
To start off with: one of my favourite artists is Jasmine. I’ve been following her on Instagram for a while now, and I have to say that she’s one of the kindest people I’ve met! She’s been designing bookmarks since last year and I just love all the art she makes. My favourites are the Harry Potter ones, but they’re all so cute. The ones I got so far are of her older bookmark collection, but I’m very eager to buy her new collection as well. Every bookmark is drawn by her and they all look so gorgeous. I’m sure I’ll purchase her newest collection in the near future!
Read the Stars is a bookmark shop on Etsy by Casey and Reese. Their bookmarks are of great quality and not very expensive, so I just couldn’t not get some of their bookmarks myself! I ordered them when they had a special sale, therefore they also sent me a special ‘Read the Stars’ bookmark that you can’t buy from their shop. I think that one is my favourite – I just love the golden colour! But all of them are adorable, I love to use them while reading. Another bookmark of theirs that I love is the bookmark that says ‘I need coffee in an I.V.’. I’ve grown up watching Gilmore Girls with my mum and that quote from Lorelai (one of the characters from Gilmore Girls) is just perfect!
These handmade watercolour bookmarks are made by Tina from Regular Reads. I received them a couple of days ago and just can’t stop staring at them – they’re so gorgeous! Every bookmark from her is handmade, so every bookmark you order is unique. The first bookmark on the left and the last two on the right are the Sarah J. Maas-collection of hers, and the other two are from Harry Potter. I really love them!
Who doesn’t love hand lettered and wood burned bookmarks? I know I do! I really adore my collection of Mary’s bookmarks. I got the first bookmark of her, which says ‘booksandteacups‘ a while ago, when she still had an Etsy shop, and I received the other two a couple of weeks ago. I like to use them in my photographs because the handwriting is so beautiful, and I love the wooden colour. They fit really well with my photo style!
5. Lexy Olivia
I love how colourful these bookmarks from Lexy Olivia are. They’re hand painted with watercolour, and they look gorgeous, with all those bright and beautiful colours. I think my favourite of hers is the ‘just one more chapter’-bookmark, because of the feather and the little flowers at the end. I really hope to buy some more bookmarks from her shop soon!
These bookmarks are made by Till and Dill, two sisters and fellow dutchies! I love all of their bookmarks, but my favourite is the Feysand bookmark (because, obviously: FEYSAND! ♡). I even have that bookmark twice, in case something might happen to one (lol). The bookmarks aren’t really expensive and Till and Dill are both super kind, so I just had to have some of their bookmarks in my collection.
7. My most precious bookmark
Last but not least: my most precious bookmark. This bookmark was a gift for Christmas last year. It was made by a very good friend of mine, Merle. She’s super talented and captured all the things I love in the bookmark: books, photography, coffee, flowers and food (because, yum!). It’s a really special bookmark of mine and I use it all the time (even in my photos, it’s just SO gorgeous). Merle doesn’t have a shop, but she’s got a Dutch blog if you’d like to follow her: Merle Jenelle.
That’s it for now! These were all my favourite bookmarks that I own so far. Thank you so much for reading. Also, I’d love to know: which bookmark of mine was your favourite? And do you also like to collect bookmarks?
I’m planning on posting at least one blogpost per week, and I’d love to hear some of your ideas on what kind of posts I can do! For now I’m thinking my TBR, reviews, recommendations… Do you have any other ideas?
